aura ep [kahvi158] - alpha conspiracy
the collective is honoured, once again, to welcome alpha conspiracy to its shores. three tracks from his latest cd entitled aura, this release gives you a powerful, fast welcome to the style that the electronic music scene has known over the years. the tracks were picked to give a cross section of the cd, ranging from melodical 'born slippy' vocal style of close to the more subtle off key pads in wishing never...
Putting it back [kahvi135] - Stud
well, it seems the winter brings the old kahvi artists out of the woodwork, this time we welcome stud back from the siberian winter. after a break of some months spent concentrating on graphics, stud has decided to once again break into music with this release. the usual stud style, need I say more??
eclipse [kahvi139] - dalekk
interesting ep this. we`re going back to the foundations of idm and techno, traditional drums (from the late 80`s and early 90`s) with the good old TR808 featuring predominantly. and oh-so-much analogue! warm and lush pads in the apt named `modular` through to very 80`s style elektro-band nostalgia in optigning. a nice, pleasant and easy going release for this grey winters day.
floor to flood [kahvi154] - saul stokes
kahvi is extremely happy to once again welcome guest artists saul stokes. a single track - floor to flood - which is similar in style to mantarey yet equally listenable and enjoyable. the sounds from sauls own made synths make a comeback, tricky textures are created through rasping and sweeping pads. subtle percussion deftly supplementing the track with just the right expression. visit saulstokes.com to buy his work as digital downloads or his cds...
electronic feeling machine [kahvi159] - aaron jasinski
a welcome return to mr jasinski. he's given us some superfluous releases over the past couple of years and this is no exception. twelve tracks of audio, a playing time just under fifty minutes; blissful elektro vibes, the industrial edge that jasinski's own made synths create and the slightly chilled and melodical feel that all of previous releases also convey. an enjoyable, occasionally challenging but still fantastic collage of works.
frosted glass ep [kahvi156] - mint
welcome once again to mint, uk based electronic/techno musician. its oldskool vibes aplenty with this five track ep, ranging from very orbital-esque melodies to those off key leads we all know and love. quality production throughout, a different feeling for each track and as usual, the delectable mint style.
napsuu [kahvi153] - walka
giving the label a more textured mood, walka - another guest artist hailing from finland - brings more electronic chill with a slight techno sub theme intermixed. ranging from the repetative but addictive tekora to the sublimely chilled syy napsuu 2. enjoy!
milk and three ep [kahvi148] - mint
its back - back to the oldskool - with this small ep from uk artist mint. a severe retro embelishment of audio arrives in the form of milk and three ep - its got it all, ancient pads and drones, chilled out analogue and the last track - bright lights, bright ideas - sounds amazingly similar to a certain uk techno act from years gone by (orbital for those who dont know). nice vibes abound, interesting sounds provide - so go ahead, listen and enjoy.
tales of the circle ep [kahvi143] - kolibries
another quality artist arrives on kahvi - kolibries. presenting a five track ep containing a multitude of audio styles ranging from easy listening to ambient/idm combined. nice sounds, textures and production throughout give this intricate and comfortable ep a nicely polished edge. welcome kolibries.
Rorschach ep [kahvi137] - cheju
a new artist once again appear on kahvi, this time quite a rarity as he's a UK artist! nice sounds, an ambient edge with a tinge of IDM intermixed. 4 tracks of deep and complex tracks, an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

pasta ep [kahvi160] - kilowatts
taking the collective in a different direction, kilowatts, who also appears on diffusion records (alpha conspiracy), provides some beat driven tracks for your pleasure. this release is aimed at being fun and enjoyable, hence the curiously named track names. as kilowatts says 'this release contains 4 pasta-inspired breaks tracks, drenched with marinara, and covered in mozzarella cheese.' along with the beats goes a subtle idm melodical and sentimental edge - a refreshing change from the usual...

migloJE EP [kahvi146] - migloJE
somewhat of a rarity, a lithuanian artist appears on kahvi. very different style, from the Autectre-eseque sounding track names to the glitchy yet strangely smooth production. the kind of music to send a shiver down your spine yet is also easy to listen to. a very nice ep, smooth flowing and interesting in its textures. welcome to kahvi, migloJE.
lampjuice ep [kahvi149] - slem
ah. slem is back! the second in his double ep blitz, lampjuice is certainly the darker of the two. perhaps (in my opinion) the stronger sounding, harder and more defined of the two (my personal favorite also), the tracks are epic on their own, each produced to perfection and progressively entrancing like the last. the tracks range from mellow to slightly distorted but their production is flawless - download and listen.....
maesymorfa [kahvi138] - keith
Welcoming another British artist (two in a row now, it must be the weather) to the Kahvi fold, Keith. These tracks define the crossover period between the classic early ninetees techno with good old IDM, even including influences of r'n'b and soul (you can hear if you listen carefully). Moody, intellectual and stimulating tracks, detailed and complex in their construction. Definately a case of listening again and again to pick up any details you might have missed earlier...
I can finally see what darkness looks like [kahvi145] - mikael fyrek
kahvi is extremely happy to welcome mikael fyrek - acclaimed ambient artist - to its shores. a familiar name to those of you who listen to di.fm chill channel, mikael agreed to release an exclusive four track ep on kahvi. each track is an entity unto itself, lovely sounds, flowing moods and cheerful vibes - ranging from the ambient 'goodnight nobody' to the `music box` style 'bathing in a river'. an extremely enjoyable and emminently listenable ep, every track strong in its definition.

entangle [kahvi144] - slem
one of my favorite artists on kahvi, slem, returns with the first ep of a double release. entangle features all the quirks, gimmicks and coolness that we`re used to hearing from slem. nice quality audio, good production and originality all are the key to a good ep and this is certainly a good example of this; every track its own mini-epic. great stuff!
gaffa saved my life [kahvi152] - din stalker
creating a curious blend of weird and wonderful sounds and textures intermixed with powered beats and melodies, din stalker returns to kahvi. after appearing on the x-dump compilation earlier I asked stalker to create an ep and this is the result. in amongst the fun yet craziness of the tracks, there is the underlying addictiveness associated with the bizarre. a release not for all tastes but give it a try, you might like it!
welcoming audio cephlon once again to kahvi, a three track ep with a bizarre name - not unlike something that could appear in a familiar trilogy of science fiction films. his usual style, addictive yet mellow beats, occasionally venturing into slightly unorthodox effects but still with the sentimental edge that we`re used to. welcome audio cephlon, and enjoy.
delusion [kahvi141] - dreamers universe
a rare thing indeed to kahvi. an ep that includes a couple of tracks with vocals! breaking my own rule of not releasing vocals (too many tracks in the 90`s were ruined by some bimbo adding useless and talentless vocals to tracks) I decided to release this one. the title track 'delusion' has a very depeche mode air about it, but I might even hesistate to add that this singer is better ;) enjoy this release from dreamers universe.
live at the sundance music festival [kahvi155] - bad loop and recue
after a break of some months (years?) finally bad loop returns to the fold and arrives with a bang! in the form of a 59 minute live performance at the sundance music festival in tallinn, estonia. all the usual ingredients are there, from special versions of familiar tracks such as lumme to some all new tracks such as 'her wings of wax'. excellent production throughout, nicely mixed and flowing - an easy to listen to extravaganza which all bad loop fans and new listeners will surely love! also, w...
zilence ep [kahvi151] - zilent zpott
if you're a frequent listener to the chillout channel on di.fm, zilent zpott will come as a particularly recognisable name. hailing from german, zilent spott blends what appears to be overly commercial sounds in a familiar context. the quality of the production is second to none and the tracks are using quality sounds and textures throughout. ranging from cool chill to more dance oriented styles, this release has something for everybody.
unknown way [kahvi140] - alexander chereshnev
marking release #140 with something just a little bit special - we welcome alexander chereshnev to the stage. an unknown entity sometimes surprises, and this is certainly the case with these tracks. excellent production and content, surprising sounds and textures. two extremely listenable and fitting tracks to add to the kahvi collective.
